Literacy means…
Independence. Reading with your children. Medical advocacy. Breaking cycles of poverty. Entrepreneurship. Following your dreams. Pursuing your passions.
Literacy goes beyond books.
Through the month of April, our Literacy Means campaign aims to shed light on the many critical ways we use literacy in our daily lives, without even thinking about it. All women, children, and people have the right to literacy.
YOUR GIFT means…
Your gift, big or small, has a huge impact on women in the SuMa Women’s Literacy Program.
Your gift of $25 can provide a woman with learning materials and books.
Your gift of $50 can provide a woman with 60 hours of instruction (4 weeks).
Your gift of $100 can provide a woman with 120 hours of instruction (8 weeks).
Your gift of $525 can sponsor a woman’s education for an entire year. (That’s just $43.75 a month!)
What’s more, your gift means you are standing alongside women in Nepal and helping them build pathways out of poverty.
